Configuration Management Data Specialist
Summary
The Configuration Management Data Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of work and effectively identifying and managing technical data. This position is responsible for performing skilled computer duties with expertise in basic database programs, data collection, data input, basic research, profiles, reports, and maintenance of records with organizational skills.
Qualifications:
ERP/MRP systems experience required. Costpoint experience preferred.
1- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
3-5 years of data entry experience preferred.
Detail oriented with strong follow through and organizational skills.
Self-motivated individual who can meet and accomplish objectives.
Able to multi-task and to accept and adapt to change quickly.
Proficiency in spreadsheet software, inventory management tools.
Research Part Numbers are correct
Ability to create purchases requisitions
Responsibilities:
Enter part number data and maintain project Configuration Items (CI’s) using CostPoint
Review Provisional/ Preliminary and Engineering Bills of Material line items for availability and cost
Review Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s) for part number accuracy
Confirm that drawing title block and revision table information is filled out
Approve or reject drawing revision submittals based on Master File consistency with CostPoint
Transcribe drawing Bills of Materials into Engineering Bills of Materials using CostPoint in a timely manner
Update and maintain costs for CI’s using quotes and online searches
Experience in cost estimation utilizing the internet to minimize cost to project
RFQ (quote) Engineering or Purchasing request
Use our Product Data Management (PDM) system to read documents, search documents, and process workflow items
Adhere to our ISO 9000 quality system
Maintain and distribute various reports and item lists
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Work is performed in an office setting.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, and demonstrate dexterity.
May occasionally be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 25 lbs.) during the course of the workday.
Must be able to read, write and speak English.
