AVP II, Financial Analytics

DescriptionPosition SummaryCredit One Bank is looking for an AVP, Financial Analytics to support the overall growth of the organization. The individual in this role will manage the financial performance of products and strategies within the Risk Management department. By leveraging key risk indicators, financial metrics, and P&Ls, this position will manage Credit One Bank products and strategies to achieve attainment. The focus will be on diving deep into the activity of existing customers to analyze and report on customer behavior, while simultaneously driving growth as the bank develops and implements new strategies.Essential Job FunctionsEvaluate, analyze, and report the impact and performance of portfolio strategiesOversee the implementation of new portfolio and strategic management toolsLead analysis and forecasting to evaluate the risk of new and existing programsCollaborate cross functionally across Risk, Marketing, Customer Service, IT, and Finance to develop accurate new product and business financial projectionsOversee a team of analysts with the responsibility of developing and maintaining reporting to track portfolio and vintage performance and profitabilityDrive incremental growth through the development of new strategies or the optimization of existing strategies in the digital acquisitions spacePresent results to senior leadership and be a subject matter expert on all drivers of profitability, being able to explain all parts of your work to leadershipManage cross-department projects and initiatives involving close collaboration with other departmentsDesign and plan technical solutions for new areas of acquisition and portfolio expansionPerform other duties as assignedPosition RequirementsBachelor's degree in economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics or related field7-10 years of relevant experience in financial services, finance, or business developmentDemonstrated advanced use of at least one of the following: SQL Server, Python, SAS, or another programming languageStrong experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and profitability driversExpert problem solving and analytical skillsStrong communication skills and political savvyAbility to work independently with a high degree of organization on several projects at one timeSelf-confident with the ability to propose new ideas/solutionsAbility to quickly assimilate and analyze large amounts of information into concrete findings and next stepsStrong proficiency in financial modeling proceduresAbility to work independently and self-motivate in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environmentExpert knowledge of Microsoft tool suite, particularly Excel and PowerPointPreferredMBA or Advanced quantitative degreeMinimum of 5 years' work experience in consumer credit card industryMinimum of 5 years' work experience in risk management or equivalent industry experienceAdvanced software competencies using SAS and/or SQL
