Our programs are built on equal parts of curiosity and collaboration.Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a second shift Microelectronics Test Technician 2 based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.What You'll Get To DoTest, troubleshoot, and repair microelectronics hardware at component levelFollowing written test procedures, electronic work instructions (eWIs) and provide feedback to engineering as needed for process improvements.Operate test equipment, environmental chambers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, network/signal analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, torque wrenches, etc.Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, technical publications, maintenance manuals, and written instructions to troubleshoot, repair, and assemble modules, subassemblies, and systems.Conduct tests and report data in the prescribed format, using predetermined methods, sequences, and setups to inspect or test specific equipment or products.Follow all program and site security requirements.Pay attention to detail with a focus on quality output, work in a team environment where daily communication and interaction are required.Work in a production and repair environment with production goals and deadlinesPerform work responsibilities with limited supervision.Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that includes extended shifts, may include holidays, and weekends as required.This is a 2nd shift position.Auto req ID470945BRMinimum Education RequiredHigh School/GEDJob_CategoryTechnicianAdditional Qualifications/ResponsibilitiesBasic Qualifications for Microelectronics Test Technician 2:High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of relevant, industry-related work experience.Experience in testing and troubleshooting RF electronicsExperience with reading and interpreting schematics and drawingsMS Office experience.Ability and willingness to work second shift.Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.US Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications Microelectronics Test Technician 2Associate of Science or technical degree in electronics technologyMilitary experience and education working with electronic equipment and systemsExperience with RF electronics, including tuning, testing, and/or troubleshooting RF filters and amplifiersExperience with Microsoft Office applicationsExperience using SAP Enterprise Resource Planning system to document testing performed, enter test results, & create Quality NotificationsExperience with continuous improvement and process improvement principlesActive Secret clearance.Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control.Experience with CUI (controlled unclassified information) and COMSEC (communications security).What We Can Offer YouNorthrop Grumman provides a comprehensive benefits package and a work environment that encourages your growth and supports the mutual success of our people and our company.
