A premier, mid-sized law firm renowned for its work in entertainment and media is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Marketing. This NYC-based leader will manage firm-wide marketing and business development initiatives while overseeing a small, high-performing team. Reporting directly to firm leadership, you will act as a key partner to attorneys in enhancing market visibility and driving growth.Core ResponsibilitiesStrategy & Business Development: Develop and execute firm-wide growth strategies; partner with practice groups to identify and capture new business opportunities.Events & Engagement: Oversee a robust calendar of seminars, webinars, and high-profile industry events in NY and LA, including on-site execution and CLE logistics.Rankings & PR: Manage the submission process for major legal and industry directories (Chambers, Legal 500, and entertainment trade lists); identify media and thought-leadership opportunities for attorneys.Proposals: Lead the drafting and production of persuasive RFPs, pitch decks, and tailored client proposals.Digital & CRM: Drive digital strategy and social media content; oversee CRM data integrity and marketing infrastructure to improve client tracking.Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of two professionals, fostering a service-oriented and collaborative culture.QualificationsExperience: 10+ years of marketing and business development experience, ideally within a law firm or the media and entertainment space.Skills: Proven expertise in legal rankings, RFP responses, and large-scale event management.Technical: Proficiency with CRM platforms and marketing automation tools.Traits: Exceptional writing skills and the ability to work effectively with senior partners under tight deadlines. Experience supporting clients in the creative, entertainment, and media industries preferred.Education: Bachelor’s degree required.Schedule & BenefitsHybrid: In-office Tuesday–Thursday.Benefits: Comprehensive package including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and commuter benefits.Salary: $215,000-250,000
