Job SummaryA solid understanding of networking/distributed computing environment concepts.Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment while meeting deliverables.Curiosity to stay abreast with new and emerging technologies and concepts and to find ways to apply those to business problems.Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM, Extreme Programming, TDD etc.Strong verbal and written communications, must be able to actively engage other team membersExpert-level knowledge of writing complex SQL queries using Oracle.Expert-level hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL (Stored Procedures, Functions, packages, triggers).Experience with performance tuning queries and stored procedures to handle large volumes of dataWorking experience using GitHUB for Source Code Management (SCM) in a Data Engineering Practice.TechnicalUnderstanding of and experience with Micro-Services Architecture concepts and emerging patterns such as APIs, JAX-RS, REST/JSONApplication development using Java EE, Spring frameworkRelational databases like DB2 or Oracle as well as no-SQL databasesFamiliarity with infrastructure technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, Kafka, MSSQL, DataDog).Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB).Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, UDeploy), containerization (Docker), and version control (GIT, GitHub, gitflow).Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure (preferred).Event driver transaction processing using EAI, ESB and messaging patterns using technologies such as WSO2, ActiveMQ, Tomcat etc.Security integration using oAuth and LDAPlocation: Westlake, Texasjob type: Contractsalary: $71 - 72 per hourwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: BachelorsResponsibilities Champion the effort to create and maintain high quality service documentation Write concise and clear technical specifications based on analysis of complex business requirements Coordinate multiple development work streams through integration and ensure architecture is scalable and extensible Define, maintain and support development environment while adopting industry best practices and tools Ensures code reviews, unit testing and integration testing is completed efficiently and effectively Help coordinate the delivery of technical components across internal/external technical teams. Work closely with business partners and management team in evaluating current systems and making decisions on future development.
