Job Description Salary: $24 - $32 an hour DOE/DOQOpen to Part-Time, Full-Time and PRN status - New grads welcome to apply!Provide athletic training services to contracted high schools and local youth programs as needed. Varying hours during sports seasons. Full-time 32-40 hours/week.The Athletic Trainer-Certified is responsible for safe and effective direct delivery of patient care including patient evaluation, treatment, reassessment, and discharge planning. Provide athletic training services to high school and with community relationships as needed and directed.Responsibilities/Job Description:Evaluates Athletes for injuriesDetermine level of care neededAssists in appropriate referral to medical personnelHandles immediate care of athletic injuries as neededCommunicates proper follow-up care to patients, coaches and any other medical support personnelDetermine playability of injured athletes in both practice and competitionMaintains recordsKeep treatment records on athletesMaintain any record of physician visits of athletesTrack parental consents, emergency information and other medical records pertinent to athletesWork with school and coachesObtain adequate and appropriate supplies for effective care via school administrationWork with coaching staff on pre-season programs to help prevent injuries and prepare athletes for competition as requestedAssists coaching staff in game preparation of equipment and supplies needed to handle athletic injuries.Have plan in place to handle emergenciesProvide patient and family education to maximize treatment programSports Enhancement ProgramsAT may be requested to assist with sports enhancement programs within the clinic or at athletic facilities.Qualifications:RequiredBoard of Certification Certified Athletic TrainerLicensed as an athletic trainer with the MN Board of Medical Practice.Current CPR certificationPreferredMembership of the National Athletic Training AssociationCertified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)Full-time employees are eligible for:Health insurance Dental Insurance Vision insurance Disability insurance Life insurance 401(k)/Profit Sharing Plan Paid Time Off Extended Illness Time Holiday Pay Employee Appreciation EventsOFC believes in creating a fun work environment.
