We work together to win, grow, and make a real impact-supported by a high-performing, inclusive, and collaborative environment where you can be your best, every day.The Sr. Manager, Distribution and Transportation is responsible for the execution of all operations at the Reno Newell Brands Facility.ResponsibilitiesPlanning and execution of labor, supplies, and equipment required to meet and exceed financial shipping/receiving, safety, productivity, employee engagement and service targetsManaging communication up and down within the supply chain to appropriately represent activities taking place in the SC and work closely with other functions to ensure execution (e.g. Customer Service, Segment Planning, Human Resources, Integration etc).Managing dynamic circumstances and having the ability to make sound independent decisions based on multiple considerationsAssure appropriate staffing and execution to handle significant seasonal changes in demandInterface effectively with wide range of personnel under all situations and be both directive and responsiveManage effectively at multiple levels of the organizationCommunication skills, interpersonal skills, planning skills, personal organization skills and ability to make rational decisions based on the dataManage Supervisors and Managers in the Distribution area and be responsible for guiding, mentoring and developing his/her management teamThe leader of the facility that runs approximately 300-400 factory hourly roles with 15 lead positions on the floorAssessing distribution processes for the feasibility of use of applicationsAssure real time date and analytics to optimize automation operations and building flows in real timeQualificationsBachelor's degree required, preferably in Logistics or related area15+ years' experience in progressively-responsible logistics roles7+ years' experience in a relevant project management environmentStrong budgeting and productivity experiencePkMS and SAP experienceDrive for results and strategic agilityCourageous leadership and strong decision making skillsGreat communication skills, can clearly communicate ideas at all levels of the organizationLean, TPM, Six Sigma or other relevant Operational Excellence experienceAbility to lead cross functional teamsStrong process orientation skillsProficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookWell organized with ability to manage through exceptions and data trackingMust be able to walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, reach and grasp for varying periods of time during working hoursPreferred ExperienceWES/WCS (Warehouse Execution System/Warehouse Control System); Mathews Nexus system would be a plusSAP EWMSMS Safety Management SystemsNew system implementationGeneral knowledge of SCS, PLCs (conveyor and sortation controls)MicroMain or other Maintenance Management SystemsLabor Management SystemsNewell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Graco, Coleman, Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Yankee Candle, Paper Mate, FoodSaver, Dymo, EXPO, Elmer's, Oster, NUK, Spontex and Campingaz.
