CATIA V5 Programmer
Job Summary
NC Programmer will be part of a team of programmers working in an office and machine shop environment to create and troubleshoot complex toolpaths for 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centers. The individual must have solid machining knowledge, understand machine setup and work holding principles, and be able to interpret manufacturing drawings and specifications. The candidate will be working with Process Engineers, Tool Designers, Operations and Quality personnel to establish world class CNC manufacturing operations for our Aerospace customers.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Plan and design tools and fixtures for NC manufacturing.
- Create NC programs for multi axis machines by using CATIA V5.
- Verify NC programs using VERICUT
- Optimize programs and machining process for cost reduction.
- Create setup and manufacturing instructions.
Qualifications and Skills
Equivalent 3+ yrs. Catia V5 NC Programming is required
2+ yrs Machining experience is preferred
Experience with CATIA V5 modeling in Part design, Assembly design ,and Generative shape design is required
Experience with Vericut is required
Experience with Aerospace machining standards is required
Must be able to understand customer supplied engineering requirements, customer supplied drawings and GD&T
Mechanical Design/Drafting experience is a plus

Ability to work in a team environment
Must have strong machining, manufacturing and mechanical aptitude
Must have good reasoning and problem-solving skills
Proficient PC skills and be able to learn new software applications
Knowledge of Data Management and Configuration Management principles
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to function with minimum supervision
