Job OverviewReady to apply Before you do, make sure to read all the details pertaining to this job in the description below.An Aerospace PT Inspector (Liquid Penetrant) conducts non-destructive testing (NDT) to identify surface and near-surface defects in aircraft components, ensuring compliance with strict safety regulations (FAA, NADCAP). Key duties include interpreting test results, documenting non-conformances, calibrating equipment, and reading blueprints for quality assurance.Core ResponsibilitiesNDT Testing: Perform fluorescent/visible liquid penetrant (PT) to detect cracks, porosity, or inclusions on metallic/non-metallic parts.Documentation & Compliance: Review, document, and interpret inspection results according to engineering specs and industry standards.Dimensional/Visual Inspection: Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify part dimensions and structural integrity.Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain PT equipment, tanks, and materials (developers, penetrants).Non-Conformance Reporting: Document and report any defects found during inspection.Required Qualifications & SkillsCertification: NDT Level II certification in PT (often per NAS410 or ASNT standards).Experience: Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) environments.Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings. xaygatp Physical Requirements: Ability to work in confined spaces, handle materials, and meet visual acuity standards.
