Assist implementation of components. Track and assist in all tooling activities.Knowledge and Skills:High School Diploma or GEDExcellent computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong communicator in the English language, both written and verbalHigh level of time managementWillingness to learn to operate Tool Room equipmentGood understanding of International Standards Organization (ISO), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Quality Standards (QS) systemExperience in CMS, E-Maint, E-TimeUse CAD to purchase die detailsCritical Success Factors:Excellent attendance Ability to work independently without supervision and with minimum directionEnsure that all duties and tasks are carried out in a safe and efficient manner and at no time is the employee or their co-workers placed in an unsafe conditionResponsibilities:Track die work order statusesGenerate and issue all P.M. work orders in E-MaintInput Work Orders into E-MaintTrack tooling downtimePrepare reports; develop trends and history from compiled dataObtain bids for purchasing requests & create requisitions for non-crib items used for the repair and/or support of production toolingAssist the tooling department in maintaining IATF16949/ISO14001 complianceAs instructed, coordinate contracted tooling efforts for the plantBasic understanding of the processes and interactions as determined by the leadership teamAssist with managing new tooling Attend meetings with customers and suppliersResponsible for purchasing tooling componentsTrack new tooling and engineering changes in North America and AsiaInvolved in process of strip layout and die design reviewsTrack tooling improvements that significantly improve first-time quality and eliminate chronic issues with problem toolsParticipate in process improvement measures (First Time through Initiatives) to reduce scrap and improve efficiency on all toolsFollow up with tool shops to correct stamping issuesGeometric dimensioning and tolerance skillsWorking Conditions60% office, 40% plant floor (PPE required)Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) rules and guidelinesComply, ensure and enforce Workplace Safety Insurance Act (WSIB)Comply, ensure and enforce Workplace hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)Comply with all Health and Safety rules, policies, and proceduresComply with all Martinrea Company rules, policies, and proceduresProper PPE must be worn at all times in the plant.Be aware of moving lift trucks at all times.
