Superintendent--Marine Construction
The selected Marine Construction Superintendent will be a key addition to the team for a 3 year USACE project at Chesapeake Bay involving dredging and construction of a new island. The Superintendent will oversee a crew of 15, and will be picked up M-F from the marina since work will be done by barge. Prior experience representing the Prime Contractor on marine construction projects of similar size and scope is required for serious consideration. E: lindsaylarson@realrepp.comKey ResponsibilitiesCollaborating with all stakeholders to ensure compliance with contract specs.Monitoring work progress and compliance from all selected subcontractors.Proactively identifying and escalating issues that could impact the established project budget and timeline.Holding meetings onsite with key stakeholders and personnel to provide progress reports.Delegating tasks effectively and holding others accountable to achieve project milestones.Keeping schedules updated ensuring proper allocation of labor and equipment resources.Helping to enforce the site safety and QC plans.Helping to mentor and develop confidence in field personnel.Proactively identify training gaps with personnel, ensuring that they gain access to proper resources and supplemental training to maximize career growth potential.Assisting in the development of a strategic growth plan for the division.Qualifications5+ years of field leadership experience on construction projects of similar size and scopePrior experience representing the Prime Contractor on marine construction projects supporting USACE and/or NAVFACKnowledge of rock work Prior experience operating an excavator (for crew training purposes)Familiarity with dredging scope is a PLUSPrior experience updating project schedules and creating look aheadsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEffective people management skills including the ability to delegateAbility to manage and prioritize competing deadlines to ensure that project milestones are achievedCompensation PackageSalary 125-160k (based on experience and certifications)Company Truck Company paid housing accommodations during the week (if not near jobsite) Discretionary Performance BonusesHealth/Dental/Vision401kCompany Equipment and StipendsMonday-Friday work schedule with half day Fridays (ending at 11)Job Type: Full-time Onsite with some required travel.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
