Gastroenterology Physician Assistant - Atrius Health
Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician Assistant to join our team in Medford, MA.

Multidisciplinary collaboration with nutrition, colorectal surgery, behavioral health, hepatology, and radiology
No inpatient rounding, nights, or hospital call
Primary Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage outpatient GI patients (IBD, IBS, GERD, liver disease, screening, follow-ups)
Perform patient education, care planning, and longitudinal disease management
Collaborate closely with attending gastroenterologists on complex cases
Participate in weekly case conferences and quality improvement initiatives
Coordinate care across departments to deliver comprehensive GI services
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant degree program
Currently or eligible for board certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
Active and unrestricted APC license in the State of Massachusetts
Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post‑hire, per state regulations
Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post‑hire, per state regulations
Maintains BLS certification, professional certification as appropriate
2+ years of experience in gastroenterology
Candidate required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $113,000 to $173,500 annually based on full‑time employment. Pay is based on local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
