Supports daily store operations through stocking, merchandising, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Provides excellent customer service by assisting customers with product selection, answering questions, and ensuring a positive shopping experienceAccurately operates the point of sale system, handling cash, credit, and other forms of paymentVerifies customer identification to ensure compliance with all age-restricted alcohol sales laws and company policiesReceives, stocks, and rotates merchandise while maintaining proper organization and product freshnessMaintains clean, safe, and organized shelves, displays, and backroom areas in accordance with company standardsEnsures pricing, labeling, and signage are accurate and up to dateMonitors inventory levels and communicates low stock or discrepancies to managementFollows all state and company regulations related to the handling, sale, and storage of alcoholic beveragesAssists with merchandising, promotions, and seasonal displays to support sales initiativesSupports overall store operations and completes additional duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, And Abilities Strong customer service and communication skillsAbility to accurately handle cash and operate point of sale systemsAttention to detail with pricing, labeling, and inventory managementAbility to follow company policies and state regulations related to alcohol salesAbility to work in a fast-paced retail environment and manage multiple prioritiesStrong organizational skills and ability to maintain clean and orderly work areasPosition Requirements Minimum age of 21 yearsAbility to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededEquivalent combinations of education and relevant work experience will be consideredPhysical/Sensory Demands Works in a generally safe and comfortable store environment with possible exposure to hot and cold conditionsFrequently performs grasping, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, twisting, crouching, and reachingPerforms repetitive tasks requiring coordination of hands, eyes, and feetStands, walks, and bends throughout the entire workdayLifts and moves objects up to 30 poundsHears and responds to customer inquiriesAssociated Food Stores is an equal opportunity employer.
