GeoSnake enables business owners to turn AI visibility into measurable, actionable insights that support long-term digital growth.Role Description The Backend Software Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the backend services that power GeoSnake’s AI visibility platform. This role includes developing APIs and data pipelines, integrating with third-party AI and search providers, and optimizing systems for scalability, reliability, and performance. The engineer will implement data models to track brand mentions, visibility scores, and competitive insights, and ensure secure handling of customer and analytics data. Collaboration with frontend engineers, data scientists, and product stakeholders is expected to refine requirements, ship features, and improve platform architecture. The role also involves monitoring production systems, troubleshooting issues, writing tests, and contributing to documentation and best practices.QualificationsStrong backend engineering skills in one or more modern languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, Go, or Java) and experience building RESTful or GraphQL APIs.Practical experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) and designing efficient data models.Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure; containers and orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes; CI/CD pipelines).Experience with distributed systems,
