Rural Carrier Associate

Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Rural Carrier Associate to join our team. This role involves delivering mail and packages efficiently across designated rural routes while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery, driving, and handling heavy loads, with a focus on safety and professionalism. Duties Deliver mail, packages, and parcels along assigned rural routes in a timely manner Load and unload items using equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary Safely operate various vehicles, including box trucks and courier vans with manual transmissions Navigate route driving efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols Assist with warehouse tasks related to loading, unloading, and organizing shipments Use commercial driving skills to ensure secure transport of goods over long distances Provide exceptional customer service by engaging positively with recipients and addressing inquiries Perform heavy lifting and moving tasks required for package handling and delivery setup Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation for each route Skills Proven experience in delivery driving or courier services, especially with box trucks or similar vehicles Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members Warehouse experience including load & unload operations using forklifts or pallet jacks preferred Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles safely and efficiently Knowledge of route driving best practices for efficiency and safety in rural areas Physical capability for heavy lifting, moving packages, and extended periods of walking or standing Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) is a plus Experience with heavy equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous Dependability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role Job Type: Part-time Pay: From $21.89 per hour Work Location: In person
