IT SUPPORT TECHNICAN Location: Colorado Springs, COClearance: Active Secret preferred Reports to: PMOVERVIEWWe are seeking an entry-level IT Support Technician to support day-to-day IT operations within a regulated Space and DoD program environment. This role is designed for early-career professionals or college students pursuing degrees in IT, Cybersecurity, or related fields who are interested in developing hands-on experience in secure systems administration.The IT Support Technician works under the direction of the Systems Administrator to support endpoint provisioning, user access management, basic troubleshooting, and documentation within a CMMC Level 2–scoped environment. This role emphasizes learning, process adherence, and security-first operations.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSCurrently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in:Information TechnologyComputer ScienceCybersecurityOr a related technical fieldAbility to obtain a Secret security clearanceFoundational understanding of:Windows operating systemsBasic networking conceptsIT support and troubleshooting fundamentalsStrong attention to detail and willingness to follow documented proceduresAbility to learn and operate within a regulated, security-focused environmentClear written and verbal communication skillsPERFERRED QUALIFICATIONSActive Secret security clearanceCompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ (or coursework toward certification)Familiarity with:Active Directory conceptsEndpoint imaging or deployment toolsMicrosoft 365 (GCC High exposure a plus)Ticketing or asset management systemsInternship, lab, or hands-on experience in IT support or systems administrationKEY RESPONSIBILITIESEnd-User & Endpoint SupportProvide Tier 1 / Tier 2 support for approved hardware and softwareAssist with imaging, configuration, and deployment of workstations and laptopsTroubleshoot basic system, application, and connectivity issuesEscalate complex or security-relevant issues to the Systems AdministratorAccount & Access SupportAssist with provisioning, modifying, and decommissioning user accounts under supervisionSupport Active Directory user and group management tasksProcess access requests and SAAR documentation with required approvalsApply least privilege and separation of duties principlesSecure Operations & Compliance SupportFollow documented security procedures and operational checklistsAssist with implementing technical controls supporting CMMC Level 2 (NIST SP 800-171)Collect logs, screenshots, and other technical evidence as directedSupport vulnerability remediation activities under supervisionAsset & Inventory ManagementAssist with asset tracking, system inventories, and lifecycle documentationEnsure devices and systems remain within authorized configurationsSupport onboarding and offboarding processes for personnel and equipmentDocumentation & Process AdherenceMaintain accurate records of work performedUpdate SOPs, checklists, and inventories as directedEnsure all actions are documented and traceableCOMPENSATION Salary Range: $15.16 per hour
