Summary The Bartender is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service while delivering a warm and memorable guest experience. This role combines craftsmanship, hospitality, and efficiency, ensuring cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages are prepared consistently to brand standards while fostering a lively, welcoming bar atmosphere. Key Responsibilities Guest Service & Hospitality  Greet guests promptly, providing a welcoming and engaging bar experience.  Take drink and food orders accurately, ensuring timely and professional service.  Make recommendations on cocktails, wine, beer, and food pairings to enhance the guest experience.  Anticipate guest needs, respond promptly to requests, and resolve concerns with professionalism. Beverage Preparation & Execution  Mix, garnish, and serve drinks according to established recipes and presentation standards.  Maintain consistency in flavor, appearance, and portion across all beverages.  Develop and introduce seasonal cocktails and specials in collaboration with management.  Monitor guest intoxication levels and adhere to all responsible alcohol service guidelines.  Contribute to and participate in events, beverage programs, promotions and other activities as directed by supervisor. Operations & Teamwork  Set up and break down the bar daily, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for service. Using open/close and cleaning checklist.  Maintain par levels for liquor, beer, wine, and mixers; communicate ordering needs to management.  Maintain appropriate levels of garnish while reducing waste.  Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and reconcile daily sales.  Support servers and FOH team by preparing drinks efficiently during service. Quality, Compliance & Standards  Follow all state and local alcohol laws, including verifying guest IDs.  Adhere to company standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety.  Participate in bar inventory counts and contribute to cost-control goals.  Maintain bar equipment and tools, reporting repair or replacement needs promptly. Qualifications  Prior bartending experience in a high-volume or upscale restaurant/bar strongly preferred.  Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and mixology techniques.  Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.  Positive attitude with a focus on guest hospitality and teamwork.  Must meet the legal age requirements to serve alcohol in New Jersey. Physical Demands  Ability to stand and work on feet for long periods.  Frequent bending, lifting, and carrying up to 30 lbs.  Requirements can be met with or without reasonable accommodation.
