Staff ML Engineer

We are partnering with a Series A, Cyber Security vendor, building AI systems designed to outperform some of the leading experts in the space. This role is focused on building production-grade AI systems, with accuracy, innovation and responsible design.Here's what you'll be doing:Lead the fine-tuning of large foundation models on domain-specific datasets, applying advanced techniques to deliver highly accurate results on complex industry problems.Architect and implement advanced, multi-step agentic workflows that automate end-to-end processes such as assessment, monitoring, and reporting.Establish and evolve methods for explainability, fairness, and safety to ensure systems remain transparent, auditable, and trustworthy.Rapidly prototype, test, and operationalize the latest advances in AI (e.g., agents, retrieval-augmented generation, novel architectures) into scalable, production-ready features.What you'll need:5-8 years' of experience (post-M.S./Ph.D.) in an applied AI or machine learning engineering role.Hands-on experience building with LLMs, including fine-tuning, RAG & agentic systems.Hands-on experience with Python.Strong track record of shipping reliable production-grade AI/ML products, with highly accurate results.*Must be located in Palo Alto.*Happy to work onsite, 5 days per week.*Sponsored VISA Transfer is available.
