A growing Los Angeles–based Environmental Laboratory Services company is seeking a highly reliable, detail-oriented Environmental Technician specializing in Wastewater Sampling.

Position Overview
This role involves independent fieldwork, regulatory-compliant wastewater sampling, technical documentation, and direct client interaction. Technicians operate a company vehicle and represent our laboratory at industrial and municipal facilities.
This position is ideal for candidates seeking hands-on environmental field experience with advancement into laboratory analytical roles.
Key Responsibilities
Collect wastewater and industrial discharge samples in accordance with EPA and state regulations
Ensure strict compliance with sample preservation, holding times, and Chain-of-Custody procedures
Prepare accurate and professional field reports
Calibrate, operate, and maintain field equipment (pH meters, flow meters, automatic samplers)
Troubleshoot field equipment issues independently
Maintain a professional presence when interacting with clients
Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
Required Qualifications
Strong work ethic and reliability
Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable working outdoors in industrial environments
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record
Availability for full-time schedule with early morning start times
High School Diploma (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Strongly Preferred
Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field
1+ year of field sampling or environmental industry experience
HAZWOPER 40-hour certification
Mechanical aptitude and technical troubleshooting ability
Experience working in regulated environments
