Job DetailsFusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse for a 4-week travel assignment in Clovis, New Mexico. As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients while enjoying competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.Required Qualifications:One year of recent experience as an LPNValid LPN license in compliance with state regulationsCurrent BLS (AHA/ARC) or CPR certificationPreferred Qualifications:* Other certifications may be required depending on facility requirementsSummary:A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides hands-on nursing care to residents and/or patients, ensuring their medical and daily living needs are met with compassion and efficiency. LPNs monitor patient conditions, administer medications, assist with treatments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to promote residents' overall health and well-being.Essential Work Functions:Provide bedside care to patients and assist with personal hygiene and activities of daily livingAssist with wound care, catheter management, and other skilled nursing proceduresAdminister prescribed medications and treatments, following facility policies and state nursing regulationsDocument care provided and resident status accurately and in a timely mannerCollaborate with RNs, CNAs, and healthcare providers to develop and follow individualized care plansEducate residents and families about medications, treatments, and disease managementSupport residents' emotional well-being, providing compassionate care and meaningful interactionsSupervise CNAs and other support staff, delegating tasks appropriatelyRecognize and report changes in patient condition to RNs and healthcare provider teamRespond to emergencies and implement appropriate interventions within the LPN scope of practicePerform other duties as assigned within the scope of practiceRequired Essential Skills:Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to read, write, and communicate in the English languageAbility to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skillsPhysical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bendInterpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalismTechnical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipmentMental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
