Pay: $2,000 to $2,300 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 6/8/2026 About the Position Medical Laboratory Technologist – Contract | Location: 2799 W Grand Blvd, Detroit, MI 48202, United States Start Date: June 8, 2026 Duration: ~13 Weeks with possible extension Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hrs/week) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist (Chemistry Lab) to perform routine and complex laboratory testing using automated and manual techniques. This role supports diagnostic testing critical to patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform clinical chemistry and laboratory analysis on blood and body fluid specimens Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and automation systems Perform phlebotomy as needed Ensure accuracy in data entry and laboratory information systems (LIS) Follow established protocols and quality control standards Collaborate with lab supervisors and healthcare teams Preferred Skills Experience with Beckman Coulter AU chemistry analyzers Familiarity with Sunquest LIS system Experience in automated laboratory environments Strong understanding of clinical laboratory workflows Work Environment Hospital-based clinical chemistry laboratory Fast-paced diagnostic environment supporting inpatient and outpatient care Requires accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols Schedule Notes Full-time, 40 hours/week Day shift, Monday–Friday No routine call required (per listing) Contract duration: 13 weeks Requirements Completion of an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Laboratory Science OR Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biology (with aligned coursework) Minimum 6 months–2 years laboratory experience (2–3 years preferred per facility request) Active national certification (ASCP or NCA required) Strong technical and analytical laboratory skills Benefits Quick Offer
