The candidate will apply their knowledge and expertise in the design and management of municipal, transportation, and other infrastructure projects. WHKS offers competitive compensation and benefits, as well as work schedule flexibility.Salary Range $70,000-$100,000 annuallyResponsibilities IncludeMunicipal utility, drainage, roadway, site design, and other engineering support functions Coordinate with engineers and technicians on a variety of challenging engineering tasks in a collaborative team environment Perform project management duties, including effective communication with clients to build strong relationships, review project needs, and secure contracts Design and prepare roadway construction documents, including typical/cross sections, erosion and sediment control plans, maintenance of traffic plans, stormwater management, drainage design, signing and pavement marking plans, and right-of-way plans Perform other design-related tasks, such as quantity calculations, geometric calculations, roadway layout, grading plans, utility layouts, and subdivision layout Develop 3D models using Bentley CONNECT or Civil 3D softwareProvide oversight of CADD technicians to verify accuracy and quality of workPerform construction observation, which may include:Conducting field-required concrete or asphalt testingPreparing and documenting material reports, test results, and material sourcesMaintaining daily inspection logs and addressing discrepancies with appropriatepartiesPreparing and reviewing pay reportsQualificationsBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Illinois P.E. license or ability to obtain within 6 months5+ years of experience in municipal or transportation designValid driver's licenseAbility to prioritize and complete multiple tasks simultaneouslyStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently with clients, contractors, and peersExcellent computer skillsExperience with AutoCad Civil 3D and/or Bentley CONNECT
