Together, you and Gentex can build a career that’s uniquely yours.About the Job: As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will develop and assist in managing all KPI reporting, data engineering, performance analysis, operational analysis, dashboard development, and predictive modeling. You will be responsible for the delivery of data solutions for internal business teams throughout the organization – including businesses, value streams, support services, and executive leadership. You may collaborate with anyone from the wider Gentex organization to create holistic data solutions.The successful candidate is a disciplined professional with good organizational skills and proven experience in data analytics and management.Essential Functions: Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions—including Qlik dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics—that enhance the end-user experience and support data-driven decision-making.Partner with end users to gather requirements, deliver insights, provide training, and ensure BI tools effectively meet business needs.Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve data discrepancies and technical issues to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and trust in BI outputs.Support data integration and ETL efforts, including the occasional development of SAP ABAP CDS Views, ensuring proper alignment with SAP, SQL Server and BI standards.Continuously improve BI solutions by staying current with new features, performance optimizations, and best practices across Qlik Cloud, SQL Server/SSMS, SAP, and related technologies.RequirementsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Data Analytics, Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.Experience: 2-5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics or data management.Understanding of business processes of an engineering and manufacturing business, data modeling, data quality, and data governance principles.Must have experience delivering BI solutions using Qlik Cloud GovernmentExperience working with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA and underlying data structuresExperience in extracting, querying and modeling data in SQL Server or similar relational databasesExcellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge and Skills:Technical KnowledgeKnowledgeable on Qlik Cloud products, Qlik Automate, AutoML, Predict, and other supporting Qlik Cloud toolsStrong proficiency in Qlik load scripting, data modeling techniques (star schemas, link tables, canonical models), and performance optimization, combined with experience designing and optimizing front-end visualizations and analytics, including chart configuration, expressions, set analysis, interactivity, what-if set up, and performance-aware design.Proficient SQL skills, understanding proper joins, common table expressions (CTE’s), data type matching, analysis and query tuningUnderstanding of SAP S/4HANA data structures and analytical concepts for ABAP DevelopmentFamiliarity with data source governance, data quality, and version control practices (e.g., GitHub), with the ability to adopt additional languages or tools such as Python or other similar languages as analytics and data needs evolve.Analytical & Professional SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to translate business questions into scalable data and analytics solutionsExperience defining and maintaining KPIs and business metricsStrong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders from all levels of personnel up to the Executive leadership teamAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environmentTo Apply:https://www.gentexcorp.com/careers/Location:Gentex’s Carbondale facility is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania in Lackawanna County.
