Systems Engineer
Role SummaryWe are hiring an IT Solutions and Systems Engineer to report to the Director of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure. This role will design, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows server environments to ensure high availability, security, and performance of critical systems. The role will also leverage NetSuite SuiteQL and Suitelets to build new functionality, reports, and system integrations. Target compensation is in the $130,000 range. Key ResponsibilitiesInfrastructure Design and OperationsDesign, deploy, and maintain Linux and Windows server environments for production, staging, and development.Ensure high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery for critical systems.Security and ComplianceImplement security hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and access controls.Work with the cybersecurity team to support audits, incident response, and compliance initiatives.NetSuite Development and IntegrationBuild and maintain NetSuite SuiteQL queries and Suitelets to create custom reports, dashboards, and web scripts.Develop and maintain integrations between NetSuite and other systems using REST, SOAP, middleware, or ETL tools.Automation and Configuration ManagementAutomate provisioning, configuration, and deployments using scripting and configuration management tools.Maintain IaC templates and CI/CD pipelines where applicable.Monitoring and Performance OptimizationImplement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting for systems and applications.Troubleshoot performance issues and tune systems for reliability and scalability.Database and Application SupportSupport database administration tasks, backups, restores, and query optimization.Collaborate with application teams to deploy and support business applications.Documentation and Knowledge TransferProduce runbooks, architecture diagrams, and operational documentation.Provide training and support to internal teams and stakeholders.On Call and Project WorkParticipate in an on call rotation as required.Lead or contribute to cross functional projects to improve infrastructure and integrations. Required QualificationsExperience: 4+ years of hands on experience administering Linux and Windows server environments.NetSuite Skills: Practical experience with NetSuite SuiteQL and Suitelets or SuiteScript development.Scripting: Proficiency with Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages.Integrations: Experience building system integrations using REST or SOAP APIs and working with middleware or ETL tools.Cloud and Virtualization: Experience with at least one public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and virtualization platforms.Security Mindset: Strong understanding of security best practices, patching, and access control.Troubleshooting: Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills across OS, network, and application layers.Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams. Preferred QualificationsCertifications such as RHCE, Microsoft Certified, NetSuite Administrator or Developer, AWS Certified.Experience with configuration management and IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.Familiarity with containerization and orchestration such as Docker and Kubernetes.Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or ELK.Prior experience supporting ERP systems and commerce platforms.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or PCI.BenefitsGreat leadership team that values their employees!Tons of growth opportunities!
