The successful candidate will be a passionate and dedicated leader with a proven track record in fundraising, state-level advocacy, and building relationships with public policymakers and partner NGOs. The CEO will be responsible for the organization's vision, leadership, and management, ensuring financial stability, and increasing the visibility and credibility of the organization. This role requires a deep commitment to science-based, accelerated, and equitable climate action, as well as the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders to enact bold, climate-friendly policies.Candidates for the CEO position at the company should have at least 15 years' of experience in a senior management role, with a strong background in team leadership, operations, and a nurturing organizational culture. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader, a superior collaborator, and a persuasive advocate for the mission. Key responsibilities include overseeing the management team, working with the Board of Directors, and partnering with development staff to execute fundraising plans. The role also involves maintaining a highly visible public presence, engaging in external advocacy, and ensuring that the organization's work is aligned with its core values and brand.
