Building Material and Supplies DealersPaint, Coating, and Adhesive ManufacturingServices to Buildings and DwellingsRailroad Rolling Stock ManufacturingOther Leather and Allied Product ManufacturingPaint HelperTCC#6-Arlington - Arlington, TX 76011Job Summary:Paint Helper assists a lead painter by performing prep work and cleanup needed to complete refinish repair work on cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles, with a focus on quality, timeliness and safety.Duties/Responsibilities:Assist in planning of refinish work needed according to specificationsTape, sand, and prepMixes and matches paint according to specificationsUtilizing polishing and buffing tools and materials, smooth the surfaces of the products to be paintedSanding, masking, unmasking, finish painting, seal and touch up. Must be familiar with paint equipment and must be able to adjust equipment to obtain the desired spray patternsComply with all TCC's safety standards, guidelines and proceduresPerform other related duties as assigned relating to, but not limited to washing cars, cleaning the shop, etc..Requirements:Excellent focus on detailAnalytical and problem-solving skillsUnderstanding of how to operate and maintain a paint booth.Must comply with all safety requirements, respirator safety and fit testProficient with paint equipmentAbility to read service and repair manuals.Ability to perform refinish work in a timely fashionAbility to read and interpret repair ordersMust be 18 years or olderEducation and Experience:I-CAR certified preferred1 year of related experience.Physical Requirements:Must be able to work safely in a noisy area with many odors present.Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.Must be able to inspect vehicle to determine repairs needed.Good vision to inspect repair work.Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.Must be able to reach below and above shoulder level
