Greets, instructs and directs patients while in the office setting. Assists in scheduling and rescheduling appointments. Obtains demographic, insurance and other information from patients when registering for appointment. Assists with basic hearing aid repairs, cleaning of equipment, and processing hearing aids being sent for repair. Assists in discharge process from medical office including collecting payments, posting charges, issuing receipts and posting payments.Job DutiesAUDIOLOGY TECHNICIAN DUTIES:Enter/update patient information into hearing aid database.Reconcile monthly hearing aid/supply statements and give to practice manager.Log new hearing aids and repairs when received. Log and mail hearing aid for repair.Inventory, order and restock hearing aid supplies.Mail annual hearing aid check lettersTurn equipment on and off.Collect and sanitize equipment including sound boothsAssist walk-in hearing aid repairs.Enter charges and payments for hearing aids and suppliesUpdate referrals for annual audiogramsGet authorization and benefit informationPerforms other duties as assigned.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent.MINIMUM of one year clerical/computer with relevant experience is REQUIRED.Physician office or clinic setting/experience is preferred.Certificates/LicensesNoneKeywords: Audiology, Hearing, ENT, Dr EllspermanEqual Opportunity Employer
