Eurofins companies offer a portfolio of over 200,000 analytical methods to evaluate the safety, identity, composition, authenticity, origin, traceability and purity of biological substances and products.In 2024, Eurofins generated total revenues of EUR € 6,515 billion, and has been among the best performing stocks in Europe over the past 20 years.Job DescriptionTechnologist responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Following prescribed procedures, performing any of the tests within any of the laboratory specialties, calculating the results of the tests performed as necessaryOperating, calibrating, conducting performance checks, and maintaining any laboratory analyzers or equipmentRecognizing and correcting basic analyzer malfunctions; notifying management personnel when appropriatePreparing reagents or media from a prescribed procedureEvaluating media, reagents, and calibrators according to established criteriaConducting established quality control procedures on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; evaluating results of quality control and implements corrective action when indicatedPerforms instrument maintenance, QC reagents and kitsPerforms routine testingConfirming and verifying results through knowledge of techniques, principles, and analyzersMonitoring quality assurance/continuous improvement programsMonitoring safety programs in compliance with laboratory regulationsUtilizes laboratory information systems or other methods to accurately and effectively report patient resultsReview and follow Standard Operating ProceduresReporting test results conforming to established proceduresSupports Eurofins CellTx’ business philosophy, leadership values, and ethicsIn order to meet Eurofins CTX’s quality policy and objectives, all employees are expected to meet basic expectations of Eurofins CTX’s quality management system including, but not limited to good workmanship, adherence to standard operational procedures, training, good documentation practices, and accurate recordkeeping.QualificationsBasic Minimum Educational Requirements:Bachelor’s or Masters degree in microbiology or a related laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institutionBasic Minimum QualificationsMinimum 1 or more years of relevant experience in microbiology laboratory testing or in microbiology related researchFamiliar with microbial organism identification, colony morphology identification, gram staining and an understanding of the BD Phoenix SystemComplete fundamental understanding of testing theory, sample requirements, ability to collect information and compose intelligent specimen investigation and summariesKnowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment, and techniques of medical technologyKnowledge of the principles of microbiology, chemistry, biology, and bacteriology as related to medical technologySkill in the use of medical laboratory equipmentCapable of data analytics Knowledge of recent developments in the field of medical technologyCompetency in diagnostic microbiology techniquesGood aseptic techniquePerforms instrument maintenancePerforms QC reagents needed for patient testingCompetent to perform routine testing for many tests performed within the departmentStrong communication skills and analytical thinkingAbility to perform assigned tasks according to prescribed procedures and to make accurate observations and records of tests resultsAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorshipPotential Envrionmental FactorsThis laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials.
