Job description: *Machine Operator | 2nd Shift | $21.45/hr* *Location:* San Diego, CA 92121 (Nancy Ridge Area) 1st Shift - 6am to 230pm M-F $19.70/hr 3rd Shift - 10pm to 630am M-F $22.66/hr *Position Overview* We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented *Assembler* to join a premier medical technology manufacturing facility in San Diego. This is a critical role within our production team, responsible for operating equipment used in the creation of life-saving medical products. This position offers a steady schedule with strong potential for extension or permanent conversion based on performance and business needs. Comprehensive training is provided to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality machine operation. *Core Responsibilities* *Machine Operation:* Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment according to standard operating procedures to ensure consistent production output *Production Support:* Maintain continuous production flow by loading materials, monitoring machine performance, and adjusting settings as needed *Quality Control:* Inspect components and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications *Technical Documentation:* Accurately complete production records, batch logs, and system entries using ERP or related systems *Troubleshooting:* Identify equipment malfunctions or process deviations and perform basic troubleshooting or escalate issues as needed *Material Handling:* Move raw materials and finished goods within the production area and stage materials for upcoming production runs *Safety and Compliance:* Follow all GMP, OSHA, and company safety protocols to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment *Requirements & Qualifications* *Education:* High School Diploma or equivalent required *Technical Skills:* Basic computer literacy required for operating systems and completing production documentation *Physical Stamina:* Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment *Aptitude:* Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise work instructions and maintain quality standards *Mechanical Ability:* Basic mechanical understanding preferred for operating and troubleshooting production equipment *Reliability:* Consistent attendance and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment *Equipment:* Willingness to be trained on manufacturing equipment and production machinery to support operational needs *Work Environment* Clean, organized manufacturing environment supporting medical device production, requiring strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards *HOW TO APPLY - SKIP THE LINE* We prioritize candidates who are proactive and follow instructions.
