Job opening for On-Site Service Specialist *** 03 Months temp to perm ***Shift timings*** 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Mon- Fri) ***Must be fully vaccinated*** The worksite location is 711 Third Ave 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10017 United States Summary Driving: Yes - Driving is required in order to commute to one site in Melville, NY - Other work sites are in Manhattan, all accessible by public transportation. The worker will not be driving between sites while on the job, they just need to be able to commute to worksites where public transportation is not available. Dress Code: Business casual for professional setting: business/financial organizations, law firms, etc. COVID Requirements: Must be fully vaccinated in accordance with current CDC definition. Daily responsibilities will include the following: Target skills: Mailroom, Shipping/Receiving, Print Production Employees will be working at multiple customer locations with and without supervision. Training will be provided. Ability to troubleshoot minor printer issues, general knowledge of office printers/copiers Mailroom tasks, shipping/receiving, processing incoming and outgoing mail according to site specifications Reception and hospitality tasks: Duties may include answering and forwarding calls, scheduling conference rooms through Outlook, communicating with customers via Outlook, Microsoft TEAMS, Zoom, and in-person, greeting visitors, assisting with stocking kitchen supplies, maintaining cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, conference room set up/take down, other office-related tasks. Employees may be re-assigned to another site in the morning or in the middle of the day. Shift hours may vary depending on location: 7am – 4pm, 8am – 5pm, 9am – 6pm. Overtime may be required occasionally. Work week – Mon – Fri. Candidates should be available for work between 7am and 7pm. PERKS: Upon successful completion of an 8-week trial period, permanent employment will be offered to a qualified candidate. Some sites may require walking/driving between different buildings. Printing assignments may require standing for extended periods. Some sites require working in warehouse loading dock when shipping/receiving packages. The candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds. Ideally, candidates would reside around Bronx or Queens area of NY, with a car and access to public transportation. The sites either have free parking or their parking can be expensed. Upon successful completion of temporary assignment, candidates will be offered opportunity to convert to a permanent employee. Shift timing: 08:00 am to 5:00 pm (Mon to Fri) Job Type: Temp to engage Roles & Responsibilities An integral member of the service team supporting the daily operations for all contracted services at customer accounts within a geographical area Provides coverage for absences or vacations of the onsite resources, that may also include site management. May be required to report to an alternate site on any given day which could result in walking, driving, or using public transportation to that alternate site and a longer commute time that exceeds scheduled shift Assists management with process improvement, procedural testing and validation and ensuring field compliance with operational best practices. Support the Field Implementation Managers with the implementation of new customer accounts and service expansions. Assists with onboarding new team members and cross training peers Assists with the development of Site Procedure Guides and sharing best practices throughout geographical area. Routinely inspects Site Procedures Guide at various locations for accuracy and compliance Performs daily visual inspection of site services and Ricoh and customer compliancy to safety. Creates and maintains a customer-focused environment. Responsible for escalating customer issues to Ricoh Management and supporting the resolution to completion. Communicates effectively and responds quickly to customer and end user communication When applicable, must maintain and accurately submit monthly expenses in a timely manner following proper coding requirements. Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Requires high school diploma plus 12 months of related work experience. Post High School education encouraged and preferred Requires intermediate skill level on Microsoft 365 applications, communication tools (Microsoft TEAMS, Zoom, Webex), and folder management and navigating to network production folders. Mailroom operations, reception, hospitality, print production experience is preferred Work in a team environment by maintaining positive, productive relationships with co-workers. Work well with or without supervision. Adapt to changing situations, flexibility, high motivation, and sense of urgency. Basic math skills. Make sound justifiable decisions and take action in solving problems. WORKING CONDITIONS, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS Typically, an office or warehouse environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level Work assignments are diversified. It is required to interpret, comprehend, and apply complex material, data and instruction; prepare, provide and convey diversified information Working conditions regularly expose individuals to conditions that could result in minor cuts Some physical effort is required which may involve long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing or similar activities as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 lbs. and in pushing or pulling machines on wheels, which may weigh up to 400 lbs., in order to move for repairs. Walking between buildings may be necessary. Moderate dexterity - regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision While most assignment hours are 8-5 Monday through Friday, schedule flexibility is required. Some sites may open at 6AM and some may not close until 7PM or later with other locations that are open on the weekend and other times may vary. Ability to cover sites within 40 – 50+ miles. Required valid, violation-free driver's license along with reliable transportation and minimum levels of auto insurance coverage per RICOH policy.
