OverviewThis role is located on-site in Tucson, AZ, and offers a full-time w-2 or contract position with benefits that include Health, Dental, and Vision. Compensation is open to negotiation and based on the candidate's experience and DOE.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and integrate object-oriented software applications using C# and C++ in Microsoft Visual Studio on a Windows operating system.Prioritize and handle multiple software engineering tasks concurrently while troubleshooting software and test equipment instrumentation.Work in a multidisciplinary engineering team environment, developing and deriving requirements for software products.QualificationsTypical requirement of a Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.Experience developing and integrating software applications using C++, C#, Java, Python, or Visual Basic.Proficiency with integrated development environments and debugging tools to troubleshoot software implementation and ensure product integrity.Knowledge of computer architecture, hardware optimization techniques, and software driver development for computer hardware interfaces.Familiarity with common computer hardware interface and data protocols such as TCP/IP or UDP.Knowledge of Unified Modeling Language (UML) to visualize software architecture and design.Understanding of software development lifecycles (Waterfall and Agile) and software configuration management principles.Security ClearanceActive and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to the start date.J-18808-Ljbffr
