Associate Scientist

Position: Assistant/Associate ScientistLocation: East Syracuse, NY 13057-(100% Onsite)Duration: 8 months with possible extensionJob Description:This is a temporary position that will be filled for 8 months, but could be extended longer based on employee’s performancePerform routine laboratory tasks including reagent preparation, sample management, instrument maintenance, inventory/ordering of supplies, general housekeeping, and other duties as assignedPerform non-GMP analytical testing of study samples to support upstream and downstream process development studiesDocument experimental data and results, perform data verification, prepare protocols and final reportsSupport analytical initiatives including method development, qualification, and technical transfer of methods to the Quality Control laboratoryCollaborate with cross functional teams and assist with troubleshootingOccasional night and weekend hours may be requiredQuals--Strong written and verbal communication skillsDetail oriented with good organizational skillsKnowledge of a variety of analytical biochemistry techniques (i.e., HPLC, qPCR, ELISA, CE-SDS, iCIEF, UV, MS, Cell based assays) is preferredB.S./M.S./or Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or equivalent area of related study with 0-5 yrs. relevant experience
