Salary: $70,000 - 90,000 per year
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related disciplineOver 3 years of software development experience, ideally in industrial or machine control sectorsProficient in C++ and/or C# programming languagesStrong grasp of multithreading, concurrency, and real-time system conceptsFamiliarity with relational databases such as SQLCapability to troubleshoot complex interactions between software and hardware systemsExcellent problem-solving abilities with a systems-oriented approachComfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering teamEffective verbal and written communication skillsRegular attendance at the WARDJet facility is mandatory for scheduled hoursWillingness to be trained in operating waterjet machines for software testing purposes
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test software for CNC machine control systems and associated applicationsCreate and maintain software interfaces between embedded hardware and higher-level applicationsAdhere to best practices in code organization, documentation, and version controlCollaborate with the engineering team to assess software-hardware interfaces and formulate specifications and performance standardsAssist internal teams (Technical Support, Production, Field Service) in diagnosing and remedying software-related challengesProvide necessary support to Technical Support or Production staff as required
