Family Practice - Without OB Physician

Family Medicine opening in California - visa eligible Located in Brawley, CA - 2 hours from San Diego! Full-time, permanent opening Outpatient only Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts No call & no weekendsDuties: Provide highest standard of outpatient medical care to patients - including examination, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation Take responsibility for all activities - including accurate charting, good documentation of history, physical findings and assessment and treatment plans; and keep track of all seriously ill patients Responsible for proper case management for patients with chronic conditions Adheres to medical and administrative protocols and ethics Consult Medical Director on problems in diagnosis or management of patients Arrange timely consultations with specialists when needed by the patients Participate in all staff meetings and should give input for continuing improvement of the clinic Prescribe essential medicine to patients in connection to their treatment Perform related duties as directed by Medical Director and Clinic Administrator Knowledge and implementation of community-based, patient-centered medical home (PCMH) process with appropriate coordination of care Help and facilitate Audits for meeting State and Federal regulations Serve as preceptor for Medical students and students for Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant programs as requested Responsible as a member of the health care team in participating in daily team meetings/huddles Support Nursing Staff and facilitate in implementing policies, procedures, and the PCMH process.
