At Pathways, we are building the data layer manufacturers need to measure, reduce, and report on the footprint of their products.What you’ll doWe’re hiring a Full Stack Engineer to join our small but mighty product team as we build the platform needed to decarbonize manufacturing and the built environment. Data is our secret sauce, so this role will lean more towards backend and data engineering but you will still be expected to be capable of owning features end-to-end and fixing bugs across the stack.We are building a team of passionate problem-solvers and empowering them to build extraordinary products. As an early team member, you will have the unique opportunity to influence the company's technical strategy, architecture, and product development from the ground up. This is a hands-on role that requires creative flexibility, passion for problem-solving, deep technical expertise, and a drive to help bring the manufacturing industry into the 21st century.In particular, you will:Work roughly 80% backend and 20% frontendCollaborate with cross-functional teams including designers and engineers to help implement new features and improve existing functionality.Troubleshoot and fix bugs across the stack.Write unit tests and contribute to automated testing efforts to support code quality and reliability.Assist in exploring and integrating new technologiesFollow secure coding practices and contribute to maintaining application integrity and adherence to security guidelines.The Ideal Candidate2+ years of experience in full stack development, with a preference/greater experience in backendPassionate about writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsWho is this forExperience with python is a mustExperience with relational databases (We use Postgres) is a mustBasic understanding of/experience with front-end React is a mustExperience with FastAPI is a big plus, Flask/Django experience is sufficient as well.Experience with SQLAlchemy is a plus
