The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of mechanical designing experience within the construction or AEC industry and will support the design, coordination, and execution of mechanical systems across a variety of projects.In this role, the Mechanical Designer is responsible for the design and review of mechanical systems, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems, while providing technical engineering support to Project Managers. This position also assists with project controls activities, including cost, scheduling, and estimating support, to ensure successful project delivery from design through construction.What You'll DoDesign, develop, and review mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping, in accordance with project requirements, codes, and industry standardsPrepare and review mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documentsProvide technical engineering support and coordination to Project Managers and project teamsAssist with project controls activities, including cost analysis, scheduling coordination, and estimating supportPerform site observations to verify design intent and construction progressReview shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs; support construction administration activitiesCoordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architectural, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplinesUtilize Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM tools to produce and coordinate mechanical designsEnsure constructability, quality, and compliance throughout all phases of the projectExperience & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university3–5 years of related mechanical design experience, preferably within the construction or AEC industryEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license requiredProficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM-based design toolsStrong ability to read, interpret, and prepare construction drawings and technical specificationsExperience performing site observations and supporting construction administrationWorking knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, standards, and industry best practicesSkills & CompetenciesStrong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentPositive attitude, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple prioritiesSelf-motivated with a commitment to producing high-quality workWillingness and desire to learn, grow, and advance professionally within the organizationEffective communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholdersBenefitsCompetitive compensation based on experience (DOE)Per diem and travel allowance (if applicable)Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planOpportunity to support upcoming projects and grow with our expanding project portfolio
