SUMMARY OF POSITION Under the general direction of the General Manager, the Server is a master at creating unforgettable positive dining experiences and a problem solver at heart.  In addition to taking orders and serving food and beverage items, the Server assists in marking and clearing tables for coursing, maintains proper fire times, keeping a stocked and clean dining room. Servers also assist in running food and beverages to tables and ensure each guest's dining experience is exceptional and enjoyable. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES Take and deliver food and beverage orders while creating an overall enjoyable dining experience and promoting a clean and safe environment for guests Trains and acclimate new team members to the company culture and operations Demonstrate a complete understanding of all menu items and ingredients Promptly address and correct any complaints or issues Anticipate and accommodate guests’ needs The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques Present menus, answer questions and make suggestions for all food and beverage items Inform guests of all food and beverage specials Sets tables with proper settings Wipes down chairs, tables and banquettes Stocks side-stations with prescribed supplies Performs opening side-work as prescribed Performs closing side-work as prescribed Reports all breakage, damage of equipment or furniture immediately to management Attends and participates in daily pre-service meetings Attends and participates in any training sessions or departmental meetings Learn by listening, observing other team members and sharing knowledge while leading by example Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 2+ years of related service experience Additional education, training, certificates, or experience may be required Commitment to quality, excellence, and genuine hospitality Passion for creating exceptional guest experiences Ability to provide warm, humble, and knowledgeable service Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills Strong time management skills Willingness to continue learning about food and beverage preparation Willingness to work as part of an efficient team in a fast-paced environment Polite and engaging with guests and team members Neat and well-groomed appearance Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol Ability to work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as needed Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms for extended periods, and lift up to 30 pounds COMPENSATION Competitive Wages Medical, Dental, Vision Plans (Full-Time Positions Only) Paid Time Off - Including Sick and Mental Health Time Off 401(k) Employee Dining Discounts Employee Assistance Program Each of the items listed is considered to be an essential function of the role.
