The Paralegal's job includes support of the entire organization on an as needed basis through focused projects relating to corporate and contracting activities, corporate financial matters, Biodesix's compliance programs including activities related to international fraud compliance, healthcare and governmental fraud and HIPAA compliance, contract metadata transfer and maintenance of metadata for Biodesix new contract management system, and assistance with due diligence activities as necessary.POSITION HOURS, LOCATION & COMPENSATION:On-Site in Louisville, CO20 Hours / WeekCompensation Rate Starting at $31 per hourRESPONSIBILITIES:Maintaining Conga, the contract management system, including making updates to the system as necessaryTimely processing and ongoing management of executed contracts and the contract management systemAssist in negotiating standard contracts, e.g., confidentiality agreements, consulting agreements, statement of worksAssist in the regulatory areas, including performing legal research of state and federal laws, regulations, and policies of HIPAA, Stark, False Claims, Anti-Kickback, Sunshine and Foreign Corruption Practices ActsAssist in due diligence reviews, if necessaryAssist with general clerical duties (signature process, filing, photocopying, database updates, etc.)REQUIREMENTS:Detailed-oriented with strong verbal, written, organization, time management and interpersonal skills.Ability to interact in a professional and effective manner with supervisors, co-workers, vendors, consultants, contractors and other third partiesProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint and Teams) and demonstrated ability to use other relevant software applications to present data, information and analysis in a clear, compelling and professional mannerAbility and willingness to rapidly learn and develop relevant skills and respond effectively and efficiently to changing priorities and requirementsPersonable, approachable, positive attitudeAbility to work independently and in a team atmosphere and communicate issues or successes with superiorsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* B.A. and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred* Paralegal and contract experienced preferred
