Subrogation & Recovery Department - Attorney

Cozen O'Connor is seeking an attorney for our Subrogation & Recovery Department with 2-5 years of litigation experience to join our dynamic team in our New York office. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a prestigious firm known for its expertise in litigation. Responsibilities include representing corporate clients in Federal and State Courts, handling civil actions related to property damage; collaborating with a variety of forensic experts to investigate and evaluate the legal and financial viability of different causes of action in both single and multi-party litigation; drafting pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, motions, and briefs; preparing for, attending, and presenting at court hearings; taking and defending depositions; and maintaining effective communication with clients and opposing counsel. Experience representing plaintiffs in litigation matters is a plus. Excellent academic credentials demonstrating strong legal aptitude expected. Strong written and verbal communication skills required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. A license in good standing in NY is required.The salary range for this role is $190,000-$225,000 and represents the Firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.
