Cost Accountant

FPC of Wake Forest has been engaged to locate a Cost Accountant for a great client. This rapidly growing company is well-known for the design and fabrication of high-quality products.This role has a career path to Controller!!So, what will you be doing as Cost Accountant? -Develop, test, and refine cost accounting processes for materials, labor, and overhead-Perform analysis of WIP and production activity to identify discrepancies and variances-Investigate cost drivers and support improved visibility to cost drivers and profitability-Partner with Operations to understand real-world processes and align appropriate costing approaches-Perform monthly close activities (journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals)What you will need to be successful:-BS in Accounting, Business Administration, or another related field-5+ years of experience in accounting or finance-Hands-on experience with ERP and Accounting software packages-Advanced database skills (Excel)-Proven ability to create and implement processThings considered a plus: -Experience in a manufacturing environment (fabrication)-NetSuiteWhat to do next:Now that you have had the chance to learn about the role, what are you waiting for?!
