Lead Teacher

Position Overview: We are a small, family-owned childcare center dedicated to fostering a nurturing and educational environment for young children. We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team. This individual will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of our preschool-aged children, ensuring their developmental needs are met while creating a joyful and inclusive atmosphere. Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development and Implementation: Design, plan, and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development. Ensure that the curriculum aligns with early childhood education standards and incorporates a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles. Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and organized classroom environment. Use effective classroom management strategies to encourage positive behavior and address any challenges with empathy and professionalism. Child Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Observe and assess each child's developmental progress, keeping accurate records and communicating regularly with parents and caregivers. Use assessment data to tailor instruction and provide individualized support where needed. Parent and Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with parents and caregivers through regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and involvement in center activities. Act as a liaison between the childcare center and the community, promoting the center's values and goals. Professional Development: Stay current with best practices in early childhood education by participating in professional development opportunities. Share knowledge and collaborate with fellow staff to continuously improve the quality of education and care provided. Qualifications: Minimum of High School Diploma or GED. Prefer Associate's or higher. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a preschool setting, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role. Strong understanding of child development principles and early childhood education standards. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to their growth and well-being.
