Core Operator

Position Summary: This position is responsible for the core making process, visual inspections, and correction defects in the core department. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Adjust and prepare tooling for the production process according to the specifications Adjust required production parameters according to the production plan Carry out tooling changes on all stations required for the production process Operate the sand facility and emission control systems according to work instructions Select sand recipe and batch size according to specifications Monitor the production process Carry out core removal by hand and/or robot Deposit cores on transport rack and carry out visual inspection Clean the core box equipment as well as general cleaning in the department Notice and carry out corrections and defects and set to the specified tolerance limits Eliminate disturbances, deficiencies and production errors Carry out quality inspections according to inspection standards Knowledge of TPM Assure 100% compliance with safety regulations within the department All other duties as assigned Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs. continually Ability to work in a hot environment Ability to continuously climb stairs Ability to walk and/or stand constantly throughout shift Ability to frequently bend, reach, push, pull, etc. Ability to constantly do repetitive motions throughout shift Must be able to wear a respirator Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.10 - $21.16 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Overtime Education: High school or equivalent (Required) Experience: Foundry: 2 years (Required) Ability to Relocate: Franklin, KY 42134: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
