This role reports to our TapeCase division located in Elk Grove Village, IL.At TapeCase, we design, convert, manufacture, and distribute highly engineered adhesive tape products. We add value to the highly engineered products we sell by enhancing their delivered formats by offering expansive tape converting services to provide a custom tape solution for nearly any application. Learn more about us here.You will be responsible for receiving materials into the facility and moves to appropriate location and prepares finished products for shipment. Obtains shipping cost quotes, routing instructions and arranges transportation services. Assists with training co-workers and continuous improvement initiatives.ResponsibilitiesExecutes all duties and responsibilities of Shipping/Receiving, AssociateArranges transportation services for outgoing sales orders through the customer's transportation portal or TMS (Transportation Management Service)Provides quotes and arranges international freight shipments through the company’s designated freight forwarderFills out various international documentation, such as SLIs (Shippers Letters of Instructions), filing EEI (Electronic Export Information), quoting, booking and confirming cargo shipmentsCollaborates with Information Technology and/or third-party vendors to troubleshoot system issuesArranges transportation services for outgoing sales orders by making requests through the customer's transportation portal or TMS (Transportation Management Service)Fills out various international documentation, such as SLIs (Shippers Letters of Instructions), filing EEI (Electronic Export Information), quoting, booking and confirming cargo shipmentsProficiently comprehends and follows customers' routing instructions, including but not limited to label, documentation, and transportation demandsFollowing directions from the Warehouse Team Lead, performs inventory control tasksTrains other Shipping/Receiving employeesAssists in developing job work instructionsProvides input on opportunities for continuous improvementPerks & Benefits As an industry leader, we offer a competitive wage, bonus plan, and a comprehensive benefit package which includes Health, Prescription, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Flexible Spending, 401(k), Employee Assistance, Paid Time Off and Holidays, Wellness Program, Social Events, Community Involvement and much more! Click Here for a summary of Employee Benefits. Qualifications2 years of Shipping/Receiving experienceHigh school diploma or equivalencyForklift certifications needs to be obtained within 90 days in the roleDOT Hazardous Materials Transportation certification preferredProficiently comprehends and follows customers' routing instructions, including but not limited to label, documentation, and transportation demandsCommunicates effectively with internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to achieve a high level of work qualityAny computer usage: Microsoft Office, ERP, distribution center software and/or hardware (UPC guns, etc.)Ability to interpret order notes and execute order instructions effectivelyLifts and/or move up to 50 lbs#Shipping #Recieving #Warehouse #TapeCase #SCD
