DevOps Engineer 4 with Security Clearance

Position Summary Base-2 Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer 4 to provide a reliable, highly available platform that orchestrates the microservices of a modernized operational system using cutting-edge technologies. This role supports infrastructure automation, platform operations, cloud services, CI/CD, and system reliability in a primarily on-site SCIF environment. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop Infrastructure as Code and scripting to automate tasks, provision managed services, and build tools.Patch, harden, and maintain compliance of RHEL systems.Install, configure, and performance tune Kubernetes, Docker Compose, NiFi, and cloud-native logging and metrics collection tools.Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deployment using GitLab runners and Argo CD.Manage AWS cloud environments.Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.Perform work primarily on-site, with little to no work from home, and support operations in a SCIF. Required QualificationsActive TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph, with a CI Polygraph within the last 7 years.Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.12 years or more of professional experience, or 10 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.Current Security+ CE certification.Experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and scripting.Ability to work primarily on-site in a SCIF environment. Preferred QualificationsDesign, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure including EC2, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, Event Router, Athena, and Step Functions using Terraform and auto scaling.Understand AWS networking principles including VPCs, NATs, and IP Gateway.Develop and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and reliability.Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and ensure system uptime.Experience with Kubernetes, especially EKS, ECS, and/or Fargate.
