Data Engineer Sr. Consultant
Overview:
As a Healthcare Data Engineer Senior Consultant, you design, build, and operationalize scalable data platforms and integration pipelines for healthcare domains. You will deliver cloud-based data products leveraging Azure Databricks, PySpark, Python, and cloud services, aligning with Deloitte's AI & Data team. You'll work across claims, payments, member, provider, eligibility, medical, and pharmacy data to enable data-driven decision making. This role combines technical leadership with stakeholder collaboration to drive impactful healthcare outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and operationalize scalable healthcare data platforms and integration pipelines across multiple domains
- Deliver cloud-based data products using Azure Databricks, PySpark, Python, and cloud services
- Lead projects or workstreams and coordinate requirements with stakeholders
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, governance, and timely delivery
- Provide clear guidance and mentorship to team members
- Manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Key requirements:
- 10+ years of overall consulting experience 6+ years in healthcare with Medicare knowledge
- Requirements gathering and stakeholder coordination
- Bachelor in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
- Ability to travel ~10% on average
