Senior Data Platform Engineer (Databricks, Python)
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer (Databricks, Python) to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will focus on building and supporting the data platform capabilities that enable domain teams to move data products into production reliably and securely. You will work closely with engineering and domain stakeholders to improve platform automation, observability, and operational stability across the cloud environment. The position blends hands-on platform engineering with DevOps/SRE practices, with a strong emphasis on scalable data workflows, governance, and collaboration in a remote setting.
Location: Remote
Compensation: $101,970 – $203,940 annually
Responsibilities:
Build and maintain shared Python libraries for domain teams Own GitHub Actions pipelines for promoting data platform bundles Support the production platform and enhance observability Maintain platform and data controls for security and governance Partner with domain teams for onboarding and issue resolution
Qualifications:
3+ years in software, platform, DevOps/SRE, or data engineering 2+ years building or operating cloud data platforms Strong Python skills and experience with CI/CD pipelines Hands-on Terraform experience for Azure and Databricks Production experience with Spark/PySpark and SQL Experience supporting production systems in a DevOps or SRE role Clear communication skills for remote collaboration
