What To ExpectTesla is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with a proven track record in the design and delivery of semiconductor research and production fabrication facilities (fabs). The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in high-precision structural systems, vibration-sensitive equipment structures and foundations, and integrated multidisciplinary coordination.This role is a senior technical leader who will independently manage complex structural challenges in high-tech environments structural design across all phases—from conceptual planning through construction—while ensuring full alignment with project-specific requirements and interface directly with cross-functional stakeholders.What You'll DoLead structural engineering design for semiconductor fabrication facilities, including foundation systems for sensitive equipment, Vibration isolation and control strategies (dynamic analysis)Conduct advanced structural analysis using finite element modeling (FEM) tools for dynamic loads, thermal expansion, and vibration transfer pathsProvide technical leadership in multidisciplinary design teams, coordinating closely with Civil, A/MEP/F, Process, Controls and Commissioning teamsDevelop and enforce design standards and procedures specific to high-tech facility construction, including tolerance specifications and interface coordination with specialty systems (e.g., chemical gas delivery, wastewater treatment)Perform QA/QC reviews of both internal and external design deliverables, including calculations, drawings, and specificationsSupport project delivery phases including preliminary design and planning estimates with limited scoping, design development, constructability reviews, and construction administrationAct as a trusted technical advisor to senior stakeholders/leadership, presenting design options, trade-offs, and risk assessments clearly and conciselyWhat You'll BringDegree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or equivalent experienceMinimum 10 years of professional experience in structural engineering, with at least 5 years focused exclusively on semiconductor fabrication facilities (fabs)Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in good standing in the State of Texas (or eligible for reciprocity.
