The AWS Database Migration Service helps customers migrate databases to AWS easily and securely. You will design, build, and operate database migration services that continuously replicate data at scale, solving challenging distributed systems problems across different database technologies. Responsibilities Design, build, and operate database migration services that replicate data at scale. Partner with your team to solve distributed systems challenges, ensuring secure replication across a variety of database technologies. Architect and implement new features and functionality, contributing to the future direction and growth of the service. Create metrics, implement automation, and resolve the root cause of software defects. Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Work cross‐functionally to help drive business decisions with your technical input. Collaborate in a startup‐like development environment focused on high‐impact solutions for a large customer base. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of non‐internship professional software development experience. Proficiency in at least one software programming language. Experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling. Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team. Experience debugging, profiling, and implementing best software engineering practices in large‐scale systems. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead. Base Salary USD168,100.00-227,400.00 annually (Boston, MA).
