Accounts Receivable Manager - mostly remote

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Manager/Lead Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid – 1 day onsite weekly, Tuesdays) Compensation: Up to $80,000, based on experience Position Overview A well-established organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable professional to join its Finance team. This position plays a key role in managing the receivables cycle, ensuring timely collections, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting overall cash flow health. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable collaborating cross-functionally. Key Responsibilities Accounts Receivable Operations Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner Record incoming payments, credits, and account adjustments Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts Implement appropriate collection efforts to reduce delinquency and minimize bad debt Customer Account Management Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or payment issues Communicate with customers regarding account balances, payment terms, and inquiries Partner with internal teams (Sales, Customer Support, Operations) to address disputes and ensure account accuracy Reporting & Reconciliation Generate and review aging reports to track receivables performance Reconcile accounts receivable subledger with the general ledger Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Provide documentation and support for audits as needed Process Optimization Identify and recommend improvements to billing and collection workflows Support the development and refinement of credit and collections policies Contribute to initiatives that enhance the overall customer payment experience Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Approximately 3–5 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or a similar industry is preferred
