Responsibilities:
Verify the accuracy and completeness of all vendor documentation for incoming raw material intended for use in production
Notify the Purchasing Agent of any documentation deficiency and direct the Purchasing Agent to obtain the necessary documentation. Material rejected for incomplete documentation shall be placed in the nonconforming material storage area
Appropriately label and place nonconforming material to the nonconforming material storage area
Complete the Certificate of Conformance or Certificate of Analysis, as appropriate, in the shipping container
Conduct Final Inspection of all Blended products. Inspection to consist of inspection of viscosity & density
Conducts chemical, instrumental and physical laboratory testing using Instron Tensile/Compression Validator
Obtain a sample of each lot number for retention. Store all samples in a designated area
Authorize the Shipping Clerk to ship the inspected and documented material
Document deficiencies in the product or process. In conjunction with the Operations Manager and Quality manager, determine the root cause of a problem. Specify the corrective/preventive action required to eliminate the problem.
Participate as a member of the Corrective Action Board
Assists Quality Manager with instrument calibrations/entries
Familiar with hazardous material and communication requirements and procedures
Maintain neat and accurate records of all testing conducted
Provides neat, detailed data of test/inspection results as required to Quality Manager, Product Development Chemist, Director of Operations and Global Technical Director
Provide samples and technical support to the customer and manufacturing activities.
Provide requested information to CSR and Administrative Assistant
Label and mark each package with applicable work instruction
Pick from storage any blended product needed for order fulfillment
Place material on pallets and shrink wrap to assure integrity of product
Prepare labels using the Labelmaster software
Maintain a one-month inventory of packaging material utilizing purchase requisitions when material is needed. Determine requirements for new or modified packaging material whenever changes or additions to product delivery requirements exist. Assist in the machining of small parts when necessary
Make, test and package Lab-scale formulated epoxies for problem-solving, sampling, small orders.
Familiar with Beam QC inspection in case when the Beam QC inspector is absent.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
2 years Lab experience in making and testing formulated materials (Adhesives, Paint, coatings etc.)
2 years in a Quality Assurance position (preferred)
Mechanical aptitude and the ability to conduct measurements, use measuring equipment, complete reports

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
